DESCRIPTION

Povilas Makauskas, the young director and student of Gintaras Varnas, set up a very particular interpretation on the last novel by Dostoevsky, the Brothers Karamazov. The most controversial character – an accidental parricide Ivan Karamazov – appears in the centre of the play. Possesed by his conflicting conscience and reason, he performs a phantasmagoric auto-da-fé.
